Awww … look at this adorable 12 Gauge Shorty Shotshell by Federal Premium! Isn’t it just pweshious? But watch out! Like an old rich lady’s poorly socialized lap dog, this little guy has a nasty bite!

What is the point of a miniature shotgun shell? Well, because this round is 1-3/4” long instead of 2-3/4”, a magazine that could have stored five rounds is now able to store seven – no modifications required! Just take care that your shotgun is designed to cycle shorty shells before you order (an adapter may be needed, such as the OPSol Mini-Clip for Mossberg shotguns).

This shell can’t quite perform on par with a normal-sized round, but its output is still more than sufficient for hunting and defensive applications. Its 1 oz. rifled slug achieves a muzzle velocity of 1,200 fps, this enabling it to strike a 100-yard target with nearly 900 ft lbs of energy. And as a sold lead hollow point projectile, the slug is fully able to deform and widen out as it tunnels into its target.

This smoothbore 12ga ammo is made in Minnesota. It may be short, but Federal didn’t cut corners when it came to creating this shell’s high-quality low-brass hull and clean-igniting primer and powder.

A: Thanks for reaching out Ilson! Please check out this short video of a guy trying to cycle shorty shells through his M37: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4eeN5aqZR4&ab_channel=PewPewDudes. (It failed.) You may have better luck or a better shotgun than the guy in the video, but I wouldn't count on a different outcome at all. Thanks for the suggestion on the ammo! We have actually carried NSI MiniBuck in the past, and we'll restock it as soon as we're able.
