Details

A simple and mild shooting .38 Special by the Remington factory. This is a comfortable round to shoot for the range and can easily be used in a small framed revolver that cannot accommodate a +P round as most of the .38 Special defensive ammunition choices feature an over-pressure loading. This 125 grain round can offer decent penetration and decent velocity without punishing recoil and the semi jacketed hollow point design is a good projectile that offers solid deformation upon impact.

Admittedly this is not the cheapest ammunition at the grain weight or for the standard .38 Special loadout, but it does shoot accurately and it is pretty clean for the price point. It also comes with the inherent accuracy and reputation of the UMC line under the Remington brand name, a partnership that has been official since 1912, but has history even further back beyond that merger date.

The moderate ballistics read as follows: 945 feet per second velocity at the muzzle and 248 ft. lbs. of energy at exit. The box is a 100 round value pack and the price is moderate to accommodate the high reliability of the round.

Please note that this is +P ammunition! As such it may not safe to fire in older revolvers, although newer ones should be designed to absorb its greater chamber pressure – please consult your firearm’s manufacturer, or ask us if you’re uncertain. All .357 Magnum firearms can safely fire .38 Special +P without issue.
