This is your go-to range ammo if you love the 1911 or any other firearm chambered for 45 Auto. It’s loaded with a traditional 230 grain projectile, with a muzzle velocity that’s just 15 fps faster than original specifications called for. The full metal jacket has surely proven itself in combat, although its inability to produce terminal expansion does make it a poorer choice for personal defense than a jacketed hollow point. Browning appropriately takes the American approach to manufacturing pistol bullets: without steel, which makes this ammo nonmagnetic.

Browning’s centerfire cartridges are exclusively noncorrosive Boxer-primed, with fine brass cases that you (or at the very least someone else) really ought to handload. But is 100 rounds really enough?
