Are you looking for a quieter way to annihilate plinking targets? Your old bottles and cans will never hear Aguila Subsonic 22 LR coming! This ammo’s great for occasions where discretion is key.
At 40 grains, this round’s bullet weight is standard for a 22 LR. It’s just loaded with a little less powder than usual, which is why that bullet only achieves a muzzle velocity of 1,025 fps. That’s 100 fps short of breaking the sound barrier, so your rifle or pistol won’t issue jarring reports while you’re running this Mexican-made ammo through it.
This round’s lead round nose bullet is the 22 LR’s most simple projectile. It hasn’t got copper plating that could reduce lead fouling, but the absence of any copper only makes a bullet more affordable to manufacture. Just don’t expect a solid point bullet to expand while it bores through soft tissue.
This ammo is brass-cased and non-corrosive. It’s also not very powerful, and accordingly may fail to cycle a semi-automatic firearm. It’s a surefire pick for a bolt-action, lever-action or revolver, though!
