No more playing nice. It’s time to kick varmint patootie. That means oiling up your favorite 22 LR rifle or pistol, ordering yourself 1,000 rounds of Browning Performance Rimfire, and setting out in whichever direction you hear chirping coming from.
This isn’t a high-velocity cartridge. It is a hyper-velocity cartridge, which propels its 40 grain projectile to a tear-jerking 1,435 fps muzzle velocity out of a rifle’s barrel. The bullet’s 0.120 G1 ballistic coefficient will keep it supersonic until approximately 80 yards, so you’ll have all the accuracy you need to send rodents packing.
This cartridge’s bullet is copper-plated. That won’t eliminate lead fouling of the barrel, but it will slow it down somewhat to preserve accurate performance. The bullet is also a hollow point, which provides the especially deadly terminal ballistics you want for varmint hunting.
