Finally – the full case of 223 Rem ammo you need to become an absolute expert with your AR-15 rifle. Winchester’s USA label 223 Rem is awesome because it doesn’t do anything overly fancy. It just works.
This cartridge is loaded out with the 223’s quintessential 55 grain FMJ projectile. The bullet itself is nonmagnetic and possesses a cannelure to prevent it from shifting out of its seating. A bullet like this cannot expand inside of soft tissue, thus suiting it better for target practice than home defense, although it’s without question capable of quickly neutralizing a threat. The FMJ’s aerodynamic profile gives it a ballistic coefficient of 0.274. In simpler terms, it only needs to rise by about 2” in order to bullseye a 200-yard target (not taking sight height into account).
See these rounds’ discolored shell casings? That’s proof that the brass was heat treated during production, which made it better able to expand to seal the chamber during ignition as well as endure multiple handloading projects. This non-corrosive Boxer-primed ammo is a great pick for reloading!

Q: Is the brass new?
Posted On: 12/19/2022 By: Pat
A: Yes sir, this ammo is loaded with brand new brass cases. They are military grade brass cases, so they weren't polished after they were strengthened via heat treatment. The discoloration is solely cosmetic and will not impact functionality or reloadability.
Q: Is this manufactured in the USA?
Posted On: 6/17/2022 By: Michael
A: Yes sir, Winchester's factory is in East Alton, IL. Winchester also has management and operation of the U.S. government's Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, MO, which is where this ammo may have come from.
