Details
Prvi Partizan (PPU) was founded in 1928 after Jakob Posinger got the go ahead from the Kingdom of Yugoslavia to move his production facility to Užice. Yugoslavia no longer exists, and neither does much of the PPU original factory for that matter, but the now Serbian company is still going strong. They produce a vast array of ammunition, much of it in harder to find calibers, so it’s only natural that they’d offer the relatively recently introduced 300 AAC Blackout cartridge as well.
This round sports a 125 grain projectile, which is similar to the weight of the standard 7.62×39 cartridge that its performance is intended to emulate. The bullet’s full metal jacket is concentric enough to promote straight flight, and furthermore hard enough to stave off residue accumulation and facilitate feeding in a semi-automatic. PPU’s rigorous production process and quality assurance protocol have ensured that these 1,000 rounds’ brass casings, charges, and primers are all interchangeable with one another. The result is consistent performance that you can make great use of over the course of several trips to the range.

Q: How well does this bullet expand, if at all?
Posted On: 5/9/2020 By: Adam Britton
A: Hello Adam! As an FMJ, this bullet isn't designed to expand at all. If you're looking for 300 Blackout that would serve well for self-defense, we currently have a couple options in stock. Black Hill's TTSX is a polymer-tipped copper hunting bullet that expands to produce four razor sharp cutting petals – pretty serious business: bulkammo.com/20-rounds-of-300-aac-blackout-ammo-by-black-hills-ammunition-110gr-ttsx. Hornady's GMX is also a polymer-tipped copper bullet designed for deep penetration and wide expansion in thick-skinned boar: bulkammo.com/bulk-300-aac-blackout-ammo-300aacblk110gmx80874horn-20. These are both hunting rounds, so while they're not exactly marketed for tactical situations, their terminal performances are still far more effective than what an FMJ could provide. Hope that helps!
