The 38 Super was originally designed back in the ‘20s to penetrate bulletproof vests and car doors of that era, but now nearly a hundred years later it’s a favorite among serious target shooters – especially ones who are in love with the 1911 platform. Whether you’re honing your aim for a big match or just have a genuine hatred for car doors, you’ll love shooting PMC’s 38 Super +P ammunition!

Bronze is PMC’s target grade line of ammo, and this round’s stable, streamlined 130 grain bullet offers strong accuracy. It leaves the muzzle at a subsonic velocity of 1,100 fps and retains roughly 86 percent of that velocity at the 100 yard line. That gives this target round a .150 G1 ballistic coefficient, requiring that the bullet only rise about 4.25” to hole out a bullseye at 100 yards. It’s a full metal jacket, so it feeds and shoots clean but at the end of the day it won’t do any exceptional damage to whatever happens to be on the wrong side of a car door.

South Korean manufacturer PMC makes all of their components in-house, choosing only high quality raw materials for the job. You should certainly save these rounds’ brass cases if you handload or know anyone who handloads, and look forward to only light cleaning after igniting their non-corrosive Boxer primers.

38 Super is incompatible with 38 Special/357 Magnum firearms.
