You want self-defense ammo that you can count on to do its job right in the event that you should ever have to stand your ground. You also want self-ammo that won’t carry a risk of sending you to debtor’s prison for training extensively with it. Enter this fine 45 ACP cartridge by Sellier & Bellot: Its terminal performance is indisputably lethal, but its great value means you can afford to hone your self-defense skills with it as well.
This round’s 230 grain projectile is the standard for its caliber, and is jacketed with an alloy of 90 percent copper and 10 percent zinc. That ductile yet tough coating lets this bullet to reliably work its way toward a threat’s vitals, even if they’re protected by a thick layer of fabric. Its jacket further works to make certain the bullet’s hollow point nose cavity can reliably do its job, which is to say expand rapidly to create a simply catastrophic wound channel.
Sellier & Bellot is an ancient company. You only get to enjoy that distinction by making good ammo. As such it’s not just this round’s bullet which deserves applause -- its strong brass casing, sensitive Boxer primer, and reliable propellant charge will all add value the next time you’re at the range or on the street.

A: Thanks for reaching out Al! To my knowledge and in my experience this ammo runs just fine in all 1911-style handguns.
