RHT stands for “Reduced Hazard Training.” This 45 ACP ammunition by Speer Lawman isn’t just engineered to give you a superlative experience while you’re training or target shooting. It’s also designed to preserve your health in two very important ways.

This round’s 155 grain bullet is frangible. In contrast to a traditional FMJ, it contains no solid metal. Instead it is made of compressed tin and copper powder, so when it hits a steel target or other solid surface it’s going to disintegrate. Such a bullet poses virtually zero risk of ricocheting harmful particles back at the firing line, so you can hone your skills much more safely.

A frangible bullet contains no lead. Hot propellant gasses cannot vaporize any lead near your face during ignition; impact cannot scatter lead dust into the air. This cartridge is even better for indoor use thanks to CCI’s Clean-Fire primer, which is devoid of lead, barium and antimony – three heavy metals you’re much better off never breathing in.

This ammo is distinctively marked, so it’s easy to tell apart from conventional range loads. And although its primers and bullets may be different, this ammo’s new brass cases are otherwise normal and completely reloadable.

A: Yes sir, this ammo should function correctly in your Springfield. Its bullet is lightweight without any lead to weigh it down, but it's high 1,125 fps muzzle velocity indicates that the round does generate sufficient chamber pressure to fully cycle a semi-auto handgun. If you like flat trajectories, you're in for a treat.
