Got the perfect training and competition ammo for cowboy action shooting enthusiasts, right here! And if you’re looking for a reliable range round with manageable recoil for your S&W Governor or Taurus Judge, then you’ll find great use for Magtech Cowboy Action Loads even if you don’t wear a 10-gallon hat!
This cartridge’s 250 grain lead flat nose bullet has a lot going for it. Its 760 fps muzzle velocity (4” test barrel) gives it recoil and point of aim comparable to the classic 45 Colt load. Its absence of a copper jacket may allow more lead fouling, but also reduces the risk of splashback when you’re firing at something hard at close range. The LFN also has just the nose profile you want if you’re loading up a lever-action rifle.
Magtech is the flagship commercial brand of CBC Global Ammunition. It is loaded in Brazil with pristine brass cases and large pistol Boxer primers. It’s reloadable and noncorrosive, and loaded to safe chamber pressure for vintage single action revolvers (provided that they’re in good condition, of course).
