Details
This 5.56x45 ammunition hails from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. That's the U.S. government’s primary ammo supplier, which is managed by Winchester and which regularly makes their products available to the civilian market. We’re sure you can figure out a better use for this range and target ammo than the federal government!
This is literally the same ammo you’d get for free if you joined the U.S. Armed Forces. Each M193 spec load is armed with a 55 grain full metal jacket projectile. There’s nothing particularly fancy about it. The FMJ will not expand inside its target, though it will get ripped apart into shrapnel if it strikes at a velocity of around 2,620 fps or faster. More importantly, the FMJ does not contain steel; its copper-alloy jacket and lead core cannot attract a magnet.
This ammo is loaded with noncorrosive Boxer primers and brass cases. The cases are brand new; their necks are discolored because they weren’t given a cosmetic polish after they were heat treated. The cases are reloadable so long as you don’t mind dealing with their primer crimps.
This ammo arrived at our warehouse in 14,000-round barrels. We figured you’d appreciate it if we packaged it in loose-packed 1,000-round boxes instead.
