Details
Do you already own a lot of 9mm ammunition? Then you sound like the kind of guy who would probably like to own even more 9mm ammunition. There just aren’t any disadvantages to amassing a treasure trove of 9mm!
This is Winchester’s USA label white box 9mm ammo, made in either Oxford, MS or East Alton, IL and loaded with 115 grain jacketed hollow point projectiles. The base of the bullet’s lead core is shielded by its jacket, so it will not deposit lead residue on the rifling. Its 1,165 fps muzzle velocity translates to approximately 310 ft lbs of kinetic energy at 25 yards – still above the threshold of what’s normally considered adequate for self-defense.
This round’s JHP takes a conventional yet effective approach to terminal expansion. The jacket is notched around the nose cavity, which assists with fuller and faster expansion. Each nonmagnetic bullet is seated in a brand new brass case – reloadable, and worth hanging on to.
