With its 36 grain bullet and resultant fast muzzle velocity (1,280 fps out of a rifle, 1,085 fps out of a handgun) it boasts a super flat trajectory. You’ll have an easier time picking off distant targets for sure, and the bullet’s copper plating helps to preserve a firearm’s accuracy by keeping lead residue off of its riflings.
This round’s bullet has a muzzle energy of 131 ft lbs, but that’s not the only reason you wouldn’t want to get hit by it. As a hollow point it’s able to spread out really quick as it passes into soft tissue, making it a perfect choice for hunting small game and picking off the rodents who are getting too familiar with your bird feeder.
