Hunting with lead-free bullets shouldn’t be a handicap. Just order a few boxes of Nosler’s 223 Rem Ballistic Tip Lead-Free varmint ammunition and get out there!
This round’s bullet is light without any lead to weigh it down. At 40 grains it’s poised to provide the best accuracy when stabilized by a 1:12 or 1:9 twist barrel. But Nosler’s BTLF bullet also pulls its own weight in the accuracy department courtesy of its precision centered polymer tip, concentrically drawn copper jacket and super-flat base. A 0.224 ballistic coefficient is not too shabby for a 40 grain .22 cal bullet!
You want to kill whatever you’re aiming at, of course. That’s why the BTLF’s polymer tip rams into its fragmenting copper core immediately following impact. The bullet’s mounting internal pressure ultimately forces its thin jacket to burst outward in a shower of jagged metal fragments. That’s an instant KO as far as prairie dogs and coyote are concerned, and the BTLF exhibits terminal expansion at all ranges within 500 yards.
This ammo is loaded in the U.S. with top notch reloadable brass cases, Boxer primers and blended powder. Nosler’s brass is reloadable!
