Are you an elite hunter? Darn straight you are! The only remaining question is this: What is your Sig Sauer Elite Hunter 270 Win ammunition doing in our warehouse?

The Controlled Expansion Tip (CET) is a meticulously engineered hunting bullet. It combines a highly concentric black oxide-coated jacket, evenly distributed alloyed lead core, optimized boat tail, and polymer nose that’s sharp like the tip of the nail, and it’s all in service of promoting superior long-distance accuracy. Given its 2,950 fps muzzle velocity and 0.508 G1 ballistic coefficient, it’s reasonable to assume the 140 grain CET will hit 300 yards without having to rise higher than 4.8” above the bore line (with 1.5” sights).

The CET’s concentric jacket serves yet another purpose: nothing less than controlled expansion. It splits apart evenly under pressure, thus enabling the lead core to spread outward at a uniform pace and to a uniform diameter. And thanks to its premium components (including Sig’s proprietary propellant blend, which plates up reliable ballistic performance over a wide range of atmospheric conditions), you can rest assured you’ll be able to hunt in a fashion befitting of an elite hunter.
