Details
This is 270 Winchester Short Magnum ammunition. It cannot function in 270 Winchester firearms.
Browning’s BXC Controlled Expansion line of ammunition is perfect for all the “one shot, one kill” hunters out there. This round’s Terminal Tip bullet is certainly aptly named, because its terminal ballistics are devastating!
The Terminal Tip doesn’t contain any polymer at all. Its tip is made of anodized aluminum, which is extremely hard and accordingly able to pierce thick hide, dense sinew and even solid bone with little issue. The Terminal Tip’s bonded jacket and core make it even more robust, thus assuring penetration all the way to a large animal’s off switch. Broad and uniformly wide terminal expansion sees to the rest!
The Terminal Tip also fully reflects the shooter’s marksmanship skills. Once the sleek and balanced 145 grain projectile reaches its advertised muzzle velocity, its level trajectory ought to rise only about 2.05” above the bore line (0.470 G1 BC). Browning nickel plated these rounds’ reloadable brass cases to provide better resistance against corrosion.
