When you get right down to it, everyone wants the same exact thing: lead-free 30-30 Winchester hunting ammunition. Well, very few people actually want that in the grand scheme of things – but if you’re one of them, then today’s your lucky day.
Federal Premium loads this round with the 150 grain Trophy Copper. Before anyone asks: the Trophy Copper is safe for lever-action rifles. Its polymer tip ends in a flat nose profile, which (A) doesn’t upset the primer it touches in the mag, and (B) stamps a pretty effective entry wound into the quarry.
The quarry is in for an even worse time after impact. The Trophy Copper’s high weight retention (up to 99%) equals deep penetration, and its polymer tip and nose cavity unite to supply wide expansion. Accurate, too! Copper fouling is kept at a minimum thanks to the Trophy’s Copper’s grooved shank, and velocity retention is boosted by its boat tail.
Make sure to hang on to those low-friction, corrosion-resistant nickel-plated brass cases. If you can’t handload them, someone else will want to. Loaded in Minnesota.
