Black Hills Ammunition is known across the USA and beyond for its accuracy, dependability, strict attention to detail, and consistently great products. The Black Hills Gold line of ammunition proudly continues to carry this reputation in its .300 Winchester Magnum Product line. These Black Hills Gold .300 Win Mag 178 grain cartridges are built standard with the famous Hornady A-Max bullet with the instantly recognizable red polymer tip, non-corrosive Boxer primed highly polished reloadable brass cases, and loaded in boxes of 20 rounds. The Ballistic Coefficient is: .495, muzzle velocity is: 3000 feet per second, with a muzzle energy of 3557 foot pounds.
The Hornady A-Max bullet is an extremely well design and well thought out bullet. This bullet was designed for long flight times. The A-Max features the red pointed polymer tip to reduce air drag, aid in uniform air flow over the tip, concentric bullet body design to help keep the bullet stable in flight, precisely cast lead core covered by a thick ‘AMP’ copper jacket for balanced flight characteristics. The AMP copper jacket has literally no differential in wall thickness, meaning the thickness of the jacket is uniform throughout the bullet body. That makes the weight of the bullet extremely well balanced and consistently accurate. The rear of the A-Max bullet also features a Boat-tail design that, according to Hornady, is only used on that specific grain weight and caliber. A box of 20 is the perfect size to sight in that new rifle scope for you next hunting trip, or for the next competition you’re about to compete in.
