The 300 Win Mag is a long-range powerhouse – capable of chucking pretty much any old bullet at a deer or elk and making it stick. But when it’s armed with one of the best hunting bullets to come out of the Midwest, the 300 Win Mag gets even more to brag about.
Trophy Bonded Tip. The bullet’s name says it all. It features a thick, rugged copper shank that is strongly bonded to its solid lead core. This gives it the fortitude to plow through any hard or soft tissue without fragmenting too much in the process. The Trophy Bonded Tip makes penetration even deadlier by combining it with lightning-fast expansion. The bullet’s skived jacket secures more uniform expansion, as well as wider mushrooming at farther distances.
The Trophy Bonded Tip doesn’t do everything on its own, of course. Federal’s corrosion-resistant nickel-plated brass case, match-grade Gold Medal primer and especially low-fouling propellant all stand right behind it. Federal says the 165 grain 0.450 G1 BC bullet should hit 100 yards with 2,948 ft lbs energy and then drop -2.9” at 200.
