Need a box of proper self-defense ammunition for your 357 Magnum revolver? Put Remington’s High Terminal Performance ammunition in its chambers! You can trust this high-quality cartridge to perform when your revolver is your only lifeline.

This cartridge’s projectile is a semi-jacketed hollow point. The partial jacket still serves to slow the rate of barrel leading that impacts accuracy, and it also reduces fragmentation during penetration to secure an effectively deep wound channel. The soft lead nose cavity is not constrained by the jacket, so it’s capable of doubling its original diameter as it excavates a debilitating cavity within soft tissue.

The SJHP bullet is light at 125 grains, so its trajectory is relatively flat – but its fast 1,450 fps muzzle velocity means it doesn’t pull any punches. At close range you’re talking about impact energy in excess of 500 ft lbs, which is far beyond the minimum typically advised for self-defense applications.

Remington loads their HTP cartridges with Kleanbore primers, which have proven themselves reliable over the course of several decades, as well as nickel-plated brass cases which avoid accumulating corrosion and reduce friction that could slow down feeding and ejection. This ammo is safe for lever-action rifles too!
