Back before we knew anything about ammo, we thought “match grade” meant you could use something to light a cigar. But now we know you could use a Black Hills Gold 6.5 Creedmoor round to shoot the ash off a cigar at several hundred yards!
Black Hills makes a lot of ammo for military sniper teams, so they know how to pick out an accurate bullet. Little wonder why they loaded this round with a 147 grain ELD Match! The ELD-M’s defining feature is its Heat Shield tip, which is made of polymer that is immune to aerodynamic heating. Even at 2,700 fps, air friction will not warp or deform the Heat Shield’s perfect meplat.
The ELD-M’s Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket possesses practically perfect concentricity, and its secant ogive geometry is optimized to reduce in-flight drag. The bullet’s long boat tail further improves its ballistic coefficient to promote a flatter trajectory, faster downrange velocities, and minimal interference from crosswinds.
This ammo is loaded in Rapid City, South Dakota. Black Hills Gold features premium brass and match grade primers, with cherry picked and carefully weighed propellant charges to ensure consistent ballistics. A Gold label round only gets boxed up once it has passed thorough inspection!
