Don’t have the time or equipment to load Sierra’s astoundingly accurate MatchKing bullet on your own? Let Sierra take care of that for you! The Missourian company’s MatchKing Competition series 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition is a great pick whether you’re fine-tuning your scope or perfecting your aim!
The MatchKing is a hollow point boat tail projectile. First things first: It is not a hunting bullet, as it doesn’t expand while boring its way through a hapless critter. The MatchKing dramatically reduces the amount of drag it could stir up in flight thanks to its narrow nose profile, sleek cannelure-free jacket and boat tail. The MatchKing’s jacket boasts what is essentially perfect concentricity, and the lead core inside possesses no bubbles or other flaws that could have harmed the bullet’s rotational stability.
Sierra does their most popular competition bullet justice by loading it with their very best brass case, match grade Boxer primer and carefully measured propellant charge. Everything falls into place to give the bullet a 0.532 G1 ballistic coefficient (0.279 G7) – sufficient to ensure a supersonic velocity well beyond 1,000 yards!
