Got a 6.5 Grendel rifle? Good! That means you can appreciate just how great its accuracy really is, because we have Barnes Precision Match ammo in stock!
Barnes outfits these rounds with their competition grade 120 grain Match Burner open tip match boat tail projectiles. The OTM BT starts life as a hollow copper shell, which has been drawn to exacting concentricity and created with a ballistically efficient boat tail base. The bullet is then filled with lead, which cools and hardens in place to ensure the core possesses no bubbles or other flaws which could impact in-flight rotational stability.
This all culminates in a bullet with a 0.460 G1 ballistic coefficient, which means it overcomes air resistance so effectively that it flies faster than the speed of sound after clearing 1,000 yards. In other words, your skill will be the sole factor determining how accurately you can aim your rifle.
This round’s OTM BT contains lead, and its nose cavity is not designed to produce the terminal expansion which ethical whitetail hunting requires. It’s loaded in Utah with the premium brass, powder and primer it needs to drive tacks on command!
