This 6.5 PRC round’s 145gr Match Burner is exclusively designed for precision. To be sure, the bullet has got a narrow opening in its tip, but that’s only because molten lead was injected into its thin copper jacket so as to form a voidless and rotationally stable core. It isn’t designed for terminal expansion. But if you only look to the OTM BT for accuracy, you will find it in spades. The boat tail bullet overcomes frontal air resistance efficiently enough to achieve a G7 BC of 0.350. If you fire it out of a 24” barrel, you can expect the Match Burner to avoid transonic destabilization until approximately 1,700 yards downrange.
