Long-distance medium game hunting? Sounds like a plan. Just get yourself a 6.8 Western rifle, a good pair of nocs, and a box or six of Winchester Ballistic Silvertip ammunition.

This cartridge’s 170 grain bullet has a polymer tip, boat tail, concentric jacket, and everything else it needs to turn a 2,920 fps muzzle velocity into a G1 0.563 (G7 0.284) ballistic coefficient. Centered 3” up on 500 yards, its trajectory peaks at about 23.5” and drops -84.83” at 700.

The bullet’s black oxide coating is Lubalox, which reduces fouling and engraving forces. It covers a progressively tapered copper jacket, which lets loose fast and broad expansion on impact. Its jacket’s thick base and dense, alloyed lead core both help the bullet plow deep enough to drop a tough whitetail, mule or black bear.
