Underwood is making some of the most powerful self-defense ammo on the market. This 9mm +P+ ammo is loaded to higher pressure than what is standard for the cartridge. If your 9mm handgun is rated for +P+, then it can now hit a target with about as much force as a light 357 Magnum load!

This cartridge’s 90 grain bullet is designed to transfer all of that energy to the target as efficiently as possible. The Xtreme Defender is a CNC machined solid copper bullet shaped just like a Phillips head drill bit. The tough copper bullet uses the sharp edges on its nose to tear through barriers. The Xtreme Defender does not have a hollow point nose cavity, so it cannot clog up with fabric and lose the ability to expand like a JHP is prone to.

The Xtreme Defender doesn’t need to expand at all in order to create a gaping wound cavity within soft tissue. The flutes between the bullet’s ridges actually force soft tissues inward before expelling them outward at high velocities.
