Don’t pour salt on these slugs – load them in your shotgun, and watch as it becomes a powerful tool for hunting medium game or home defense! Sterling Tornado 12 Gauge ammo gets the job done.
This shell is loaded with a solid one ounce lead slug. It is rifled, which means it is specifically designed for smoothbore shotguns and will pass through a variety of differently sized chokes. Sterling puts a hollow base in their slug which promotes greater in-flight balance. They also pair it up with a hinged wad, which accordions during ignition to take an appreciable amount of bite out of recoil.
This is not a hollow point slug – it will not expand inside of soft tissue, but its impact energy is massive with over 1,500 ft lbs at very close range.
Sterling is made in Turkey by one of the Middle East’s largest ammo manufacturers. They have been around for more than 30 years and currently export their goods to 60 countries around the world. Our favorite among those countries? America.
