With the 270 Win, you can’t lose! And when your ammo maker is Hornady, you know you’ll get the predictable, deadly performance which turns today’s hoofed mammals into tomorrow’s venison dinners.
Hornady’s Nebraska-made American Whitetail ammo is great for bagging all kinds of deer species. This round’s 140 grain soft point bullet is the InterLock: named for the raised ring which tightly secures its jacket to its core. The InterLock’s jacket is additionally embedded into its core at its cannelure, so you can count on a deep enough wound channel to get the job done right. The InterLock’s progressively tapered copper jacket promotes wider expansion at lower velocities – a guaranteed KO hundreds of yards downrange (with correct shot placement, as it goes without saying).
The InterLock’s ballistically efficient secant ogive profile helps it maintain an impressively flat trajectory. Once it exits a 24” barrel, the 7mm projectile’s 0.486 G1 BC allows it to drop just -6.84” a hundred yards downrange of a 200-yard zero. Hornady’s premium brass, primers and propellant charges leave no surprises in store for marksmen such as yourself!
