Details
Your 300 AAC Blackout rifle isn’t just a toy to faff around with at the range. It is also a formidable hunting tool, provided you’ve a round like this one from Barnes’ VOR-TX line of ammunition. It features a TAC-TX projectile, which is 120 grains to leave plenty of room in the casing for propellant. The lightweight TAC-TX is naturally accurate, not only because of its greater velocity, but also its streamlined shape and narrowed boat tail base.
But how about when the TAC-TX gets to its destination? Well, then its polymer tip commences double diameter expansion, and it retains its weight marvelously all the while because the TAC-TX is in fact an all copper bullet. That also means it’s a clean shooting bullet, one you can hunt most anywhere with, and not going to contaminate your meat with any hazardous lead residues. Barnes wouldn’t put so impressive a bullet on anything short of just the right brass, and their propellant burns clean to keep your bore in even better shape than a copper bullet alone could accomplish.
