Details
The 7.62x39 entered production in 1944 – five years after Remington first introduced the Core-Lokt hunting bullet. Now is your chance to combine one of Russia’s greatest inventions with one of America’s while hunting your medium game of choice!
The Core-Lokt bullet delivers highly reliable terminal ballistics. Its precision tapered jacket is extremely narrow around its rim, which helps the lead core peel it evenly outward during penetration. The Core-Lokt consistently doubles its diameter before coming to a rest inside (or on the other side) of its target. The Core-Lokt’s jacket is embedded within its lead core. That prevents the two components from fracturing apart, shedding their combined weight, and losing the momentum the bullet requires in order to reach its target’s vital organs.
This round’s 125 grain pointed soft point exhibits a 0.267 G1 ballistic coefficient. In practical terms, that means the bullet’s trajectory to 150 yards should only elevate about 2.2” above the muzzle line. The bullet is completely nonmagnetic, and it’s seated in a factory fresh brass case with a noncorrosive Boxer primer.
