Details
Speer’s original Gold Dot is an exceptional projectile. Its copper jacket, which has been formed perfectly concentrically via a proprietary electrochemical process, stays close to its core that it may retain its weight even for having pierced barriers including wall board and steel en route to its target. That Speer could make such a bullet even better is a real testament to their technical prowess. The Gold Dot G2 has a shallower hollow point nose cavity than the original, in which sits a piece of elastomer. Upon impact the material is forced into the pressure formed core’s internal fissures to force them apart for remarkably uniform expansion. The depth and width of the G2’s terminal performance has earned the bullet glowing scores on the FBI’s test protocol!
This 9mm cartridge sports a nickel plated casing. Its shell’s lubricity promotes the certain feeding and extraction in a semi-automatic weapon that self-defense load had better provide, and guards against corrosion as well. It is an even more trustworthy thanks to its non-corrosive primer by CCI and uniformly loaded propellant charge.
