Details
This cartridge is designed to go low and slow. Its 200 grain bullet is just too heavy to break out of the muzzle at a velocity higher than the speed of sound, which means you’re going to be making very little noise while you’re shooting targets. If you have a suppressor, so much the better. You’re really going to be making mouse squeaks with each trigger pull.
On the subject of rodents: this ammo will kill them handily. Just take care that the open tip bullet isn’t designed for terminal expansion, though. It’s solely meant for accuracy, and features the form-fitted lead core requisite for peak gyroscopic stability.
Winchester wouldn’t dare load subsonic 300 BLK ammo with inferior or previously fired cases. Their bullets are nonmagnetic, their primers are noncorrosive, and their propellant won’t excessively blacken a suppressor’s baffles with sooty gunk.
