Details
This 10mm cartridge from Sellier & Bellot’s XRG Defense line of ammunition showcases the solid copper hollow point bullet. Unlike a traditional jacketed hollow point, which has a lead core and copper jacket, the monolithic SCHP lacks any components that could separate from one another during penetration. Copper itself is a very tough metal, which is why the SCHP consistently retains virtually all of its weight as it penetrates clothing and soft tissue. This is why the SCHP so reliably bores its way to a consistent depth in its target.
The SCHP’s merits as a self-defense bullet don’t end there. The bullet’s wide nose cavity promotes fuller terminal expansion even at lower velocities. The SCHP increases in diameter as it erects five rectangular petals – highly injurious terminal ballistics, especially once you factor in the 10mm’s outstanding power. The SCHP also promotes greater long-term accuracy by avoiding lead fouling. And because lightweight copper makes this bullet only 130 grains, you’ll likely notice significantly lighter recoil while firing it.
Brass-cased, Boxer-primed, clean-shooting and non-corrosive, this high-quality 10mm self-defense ammo hails from a very old manufacturer in the Czech Republic.
