This round is loaded with 1-1/4 ounces of #4 shot. But it’s not pure lead shot. Remington’s Copper-Lokt shot pellet features a high-antimony lead core and thin copper-plated jacket, both of which make it exceptionally hard. That’s how it retains the spherical profile that is most conducive to tight patterning.

This round’s heavy shot column and high 1,400 fps muzzle velocity are both responsible for its authoritative recoil. The extra boost down the barrel is well worth it, however, as you’ll avail yourself of a flat trajectory, short lead distance, and walloping striking energy every time you drop the firing pin.
