This 28 Gauge shotshell from Winchester’s AA line of ammunition is specifically designed for the challenging game of sporting clays. But we don’t doubt that a skilled (or novice) shooter couldn’t use it just as well for trap and skeet, too!
This shell is loaded with #8-1/2 shot. The 0.085" diameter pellets are rarely used for hunting, though they really do shine at the clay range. Winchester casts their shot out of extra hard lead, and subsequently screens it to ensure its consistent dimensions. Identical, always spherical shot pellets deliver tight, efficient patterns!
The 28 Gauge is not regarded as a high-recoil shell, but you’ll barely notice firing this round at all thanks to its AA wad. It is hinged to absorb a good deal of felt recoil, and it only contributes more to its high-quality shot’s pattern density.
Winchester also arms this range ammo with reloadable high-strength hulls, as well as consistent and clean-burning primers and propellant. A perfect round is only one box of AA ammo away!
