Details
Plastic has changed the world mostly for the better. Unfortunately, even the flimsiest piece of plastic can remain in the environment for hundreds – if not thousands – of years. But now thanks to BioAmmo, hunting for upland game no longer means you have to feel guilty about leaving behind plastic litter!
This 12 Gauge hunting shell doesn’t contain any plastic. Both its tube and its wad are made of biopolymer – a plant based substance, which is totally edible to microorganisms. Whether this shell’s tube and wad fall on the ground or sink in the water, they’ll be completely broken down within only two years.
BioAmmo’s other components are also exceptional. This shell’s #7 lead shot is hard and round, which alongside its petaled wad ensures you’ll fire an extremely dense pattern at your game bird of choice. Its 1,312 fps muzzle velocity gives this shell plenty of deadly energy, and its wad’s collapsible base means you won’t experience too much recoil.
BioAmmo shotshells are safe to store in normal climactic conditions for a minimum of five years.

Q: I have a semi automatic Browning shotgun which only shoots high brass shells… would these shells work? Are they compatible?
Posted On: 7/7/2021 By: Tony
A: Thanks for reaching out Tony! This ammo should generate sufficient chamber pressure to cycle a semi-auto. But if it's more the actual length of the brass head that you're worried about, then I can tell you this shell's head is exaclty 0.63" high.
If you'd rather have a BioAmmo shell with a 0.98" high head (and are okay with moving down a shot size), then you might consider this alternative:
