It’s important to minimize your impact on the beautiful places where you like to hunt. Until recently this has been impossible to do entirely, as bird hunting demands leaving plastic wads behind – and often empty shells, too. But thanks to BioAmmo of Spain, you can now hunt without making any plastic litter!
The magic is in the biopolymer. This material is stong like plastic, but much it’s much less permanent because it is fully compostable. Give it a couple of years, tops, and both this shell’s hull and its wad will eventually get broken down into salt, water and carbon dioxide gas by microorganisms. The wads are even brown, so they’ll be much harder to see as they wither away into nothing!
Thanks to its 1-1/4 ounce charge of #6 shot, this shell is optimal for taking rabbit, partridge, grouse, and even turkey at the right range and with the right choke. BioAmmo’s shot pellets are cast to have an extremely round profile which promotes tighter patterning. Their wad’s wide side vents enable it to break clean from the column to ensure an even more reliable spread, and its base crumples to soak up a decent amount of recoil energy.
BioAmmo shotshells are safe to store in normal climactic conditions for a minimum of five years.
