Sporting clays is a tricky enough endeavor to attempt with second rate ammo. If you’re going to be presented by a series of erratically flying clays, you would do well to chamber this 12 Gauge ammunition by Federal. Top Gun Sporting loads give you an edge without gouging you for it!
This shell is loaded with one ounce of #7.5 lead shot. The official rules of sporting clays would permit you another 1/8 ounce, but that lesser recoil is going to help your aim if you’re firing an over-under or side-by-side in rapid succession. Shot must stay round to fly straight, so Federal makes theirs extra hard to let it keep its shape during ignition.
A clean burning charge of propellant punches this shell’s shot out of the muzzle at 1,330 fps. With that kind of speed on your side you’ll have less trouble leading with your aim -- it could only be faster to smash the clays on the ground with a hammer.

Q: Are these hulls reloadable?
Posted On: 5/17/2023 By: Timothy Augustine
A: Yes sir, you should be able to get a couple good reloads out of these hulls! Any more than that and the primer pockets are likely to become too loose to be of any use.
