Looking for a hot deal on a whole case of the 12 Gauge ammunition you need for trap and sporting clays? Check out what Sterling has in store for you! Their TRAP Competition label shells couple low recoil with high velocities so you can punish clay all day.
This shell features a special soft wad, as well as a very lightweight 7/8 ounce column of #8 shot. This shell’s recoil may be gentle, but its performance is far from weak. Its 1,300 fps muzzle velocity gives its small shot pellets a heck of a lot of momentum downrange, and Sterling’s hard lead pellets resist flattening to make sure they will fly in a tight formation.
Sterling ammunition is made in Şabanözü, a district of Turkey that we have no idea how to pronounce. They load stong, reloadable hulls with sensitive primers and clean-burning powder, and their TRAP Competition shells are thoroughly tested under a wide range of conditions.

Q: Is this good for home protection?
Posted On: 11/4/2021 By: George McCaffrey
A: No sir, not at all. #8 shot is typically used for trapshooting and hunting the smallest of birds. You could of course neutralize a threat with this ammo, but it's far inferior to a shell that's built for hunting medium-size game or home defense. What you want is 00 buck. Those shot pellets are 0.33" in diameter as opposed to #8 shot's 0.09". Such larger pellets are going to penetrate to the depth they need to hit the vital organs, and transfer huge energy on impact. You can see our selection of 12 Gauge 00 buck here:

The Winchester Double-X ammo is excellent. You'll probably want the 2-3/4" load, which will deliver less recoil for you to contend with while you're keeping your aim trained on the target:

Q: Do you sell any shotgun shell with steel shot

A: Thanks for reaching out sir! We do carry steel shot loads, but I regret that we haven't got any in store at the moment. We update our inventory frequently, so I hope you'll check back in again shortly!
