Who’s calling the shots: you, or the woodchucks and coyotes? You are, of course, which is why Federal makes their American Eagle Varmint & Predator 223 Rem ammunition for all your small game hunting needs!

This cartridge has a lightweight 50 grain bullet, which enables an AR-15 to fling it at a muzzle velocity of 3,325 fps. You’re going to see a laser-like trajectory at close to medium-range, coupled with the accuracy you need to seek and destroy even the smallest critters.

The JHP functions just like a self-defense bullet by initiating deadly expansion and accompanying fragmentation immediately following impact. This small game bullet’s wound channel might be a little too shallow for personal defense, which is why Federal puts the “Varmint & Predator” label on this ammo.

This ammunition is loaded with standardized brass cases, primers and propellant to ensure smooth cycling and consistent ballistic performance out of any 5.56/223 rifle. Those cases are a fine pick for reloading any type of ammo you please!
