Details
This 9mm cartridge by Hornady features a 100 grain projectile – nice and lightweight, so you’ll experience very little of the muzzle flip that might have hindered your ability to accurately empty out an entire magazine at a threat.
Its weight isn’t the only thing that suits this bullet so well for personal protection, however. As an FTX, its hollow point nose cavity contains a cylinder of soft polymer that keeps it from jamming with debris before it can initiate wide expansion. The FTX’s jacket is strategically notched around its nose cavity, which enables it to split apart as it yields wide, reliable terminal expansion.
This cartridge’s fast burning propellant not only ensures a consistent muzzle velocity, but furthermore greatly reduces the kind of muzzle flash that would have deprived you of your ability to accurately line up rapid fire in the dark. If you prefer a subcompact for self-defense and you’d like enough rounds to train with, this case of ammo is one of your best bets!

Q: What is the velocity of this round? Thanks
Posted On: 10/10/2019 By: John Borntrager
A: Hi John. Thanks for looking to BulkAmmo.com for your 9mm ammo. That Hornady Lite generates 1125 ft/sec at the muzzle and results in a muzzle energy of 281 ft/lbs. These are very mild shooting rounds for any pistol. Give me a shout I I can get a case on the way to you! Ronnie
