A rifled bore shotgun becomes startlingly accurate with the right kind of hunting ammunition. Would a Navy SEAL sniper be able to do his best work with Federal Premium Freight Train Copper? Absolutely not. But can a competent hunter land 4” groups at 200 yards with this 12 Gauge sabot slug ammunition? You bet!
With its polymer tip, aerodynamic nose profile, and solid copper construction, this round’s 300 grain (11/16 oz) sabot slug really does resemble a rifle bullet, and has a G1 BC (0.187) on par with some 30-30 Win loads. It is perfectly lead-free and compliant with all restrictions that require lead-free ammo. It is also especially deadly. Once impact slams its polymer tip inward, the sabot slug protrudes six curling petals that get the job done before dinner (unless “dinner” is the medium game animal you just shot, in which case dinner comes afterward).
PLEASE NOTE: This is sabot slug ammunition. It is not intended for smoothbore barrels.
