Details
You want accurate, low-report 22 LR ammunition – and that’s exactly what you’re going to get. We have Remington Subsonic in stock!
This cartridge is loaded with a 40 grain projectile. It’s not unusually heavy by any measure. The propellant charge behind it is just weaker than normal. The cartridge’s lower chamber pressure precedes its lower muzzle velocity: 1,050 fps out of a rifle’s barrel. That keeps the sound barrier perfectly intact, so you’ll make less noise even if you aren’t firing through a suppressor.
If you have got a suppressor, then you’ll like this ammo even more. In addition to giving a suppressor less work to do, the slow-moving bullet is plated with copper that significantly reduces fouling and lead buildup in suppressor ports. The bullet also has a hollow point that initiates terminal expansion following close-to-mid-range impact.
This round’s trajectory drops off sharper than average. But because its bullet doesn’t transition from supersonic to subsonic, it also doesn’t destabilize in flight. That’s the secret to true 22 LR accuracy!
