Details
This 40 S&W cartridge is from Speer’s Law Enforcement Gold Dot line of ammunition. If you ever get to see its 165 grain projectile in action, you’ll absolutely understand why several police departments including the New Jersey State Police, the California Highway Patrol, and the San Antonio Police all favor it for active duty. The Gold Dot’s jacket has been electrochemically fused to its core, one single molecule at a time, so it’s both intensely concentric and virtually incapable of separating during penetration. Such great weight retention is made all the more potent by this hollow point bullet’s ability to reliably spread out as it tunnels through its target. Any threat you neutralize with one of these isn’t likely to become an organ donor afterward.
This round’s brass casing is plated with shiny nickel. That increases its lubricity to ensure your everyday carry won’t jam when you most need it, and further helps it to resist corrosion. What’s more, you’ll have a much more easy time of spotting this round during an off the cuff chamber check should you ever have to stand your ground where it’s dark.
