This cartridge’s 220 grain bullet isn’t a full metal jacket. It is a total metal jacket, which means the bottom of its lead core is covered by its nonmagnetic copper-alloy jacket. The searing hotness of combusting propellant won’t turn any part of the TMJ’s core into vaporized lead, so you can breathe a little easier while you’re cooped up in a stuffy indoor range. The TMJ is also due to deposit significantly less fouling along a barrel’s rifling, which contributes to this ammo’s remarkably clean performance.
