Details
It’s not just any 5.7x28mm ammo. It is FN Herstal’s very own SS200 DFNS personal defense ammo – just the ticket for a FN Five-seveN, Ruger-5.7, or any other firearm chambered for the Belgian speed demon!
This round’s jacketed hollow point does not contain an ordinary lead core. Its core is made of compressed tin and copper powders, which facilitate faster and higher-energy terminal expansion. Alongside its copper jacket, the JHP’s core makes it perfectly lead-free. (There is lead in this ammo’s primers, however.)
Since it doesn’t have any lead to weigh it down, this round’s JHP weighs in at just 30 grains. It will achieve a muzzle velocity of approximately 1,900 fps out of a 4.8” barrel, or 2,240 fps out of a 16” barrel. Either way, you can expect the JHP to exhibit optimal terminal ballistics for neutralizing a threat.
Regardless of the pistol or carbine you’re firing, you can bank on smooth cycling and clean performance courtesy of FN’s high-quality brass cases and Boxer primers. Reloadable? You bet!
