Think of this 7.62x51 ammo as a foreign exchange student of sorts. It was manufactured in Israel by IMI, whose primary job is supplying ammo to the Israel Defense Forces, but it has come here to America to learn exactly how Americans like to shoot. We hope you will order a box and give it a lesson!
This is very basic target shooting ammo, and as 7.62x51 it’s fit for use in AR-10 and 308 hunting rifles as well. Each round is capped with a 150 grain bullet, just like the M59 round that was used during the Vietnam War. The full metal jacket bullets will feed freely into a semi-auto’s chamber and prevent excessive barrel fouling, but they won’t expand inside their target. They won’t attract a magnet, either – you’ll find no steel in this ammo’s bullets.
IMI’s range ammo has reloadable brass cases, which are newly manufactured. Any discoloration you might see on the cases is the natural byproduct of the factory annealing process which strengthened them. IMI’s military-grade primers offer reliable ignition without producing corrosive residues.
