Brass-cased ammo is a must-buy if you intend to reload your empty cases. But what if you plan on leaving your cases wherever they land on the ground? In that event, you’re poised to save a whole lot of money on your 9mm ammo by switching over to aluminum cases.
CCI, which owns Blazer, actually perfected the heat-treatment process needed to make aluminum cases reliably feed and extract. That’s why this ammo should function without issue in any semi-automatic firearm, be it pistol or carbine. You’ll certainly not want to try reloading aluminum, however. The metal doesn’t expand and contract like brass does, and it has a lower melting point as well. Blazer actually loads this ammo with Berdan primers to dissuade anyone from trying to reload it!
This ammo’s bullets are standard 115 grain FMJs. They deliver the smooth feeding and consistent accuracy you want for target practice, although they won’t provide the terminal expansion you’d want from your self-defense rounds. This American-made ammo is completely nonmagnetic and non-corrosive!
