Steel is useful for making all sorts of things, such as ninja stars, ninja swords, and all the other weapons ninjas need in their dangerous line of work. But did you know that steel can also be used to make cases for 9mm ammunition? That’s right! And because steel cases cost significantly less to manufacture than brass ones, steel-cased ammo makes a great budget-friendly solution to target practice!
Magtech makes their Steel series ammo at their state-of-the-art factory in São Paulo, Brazil. They load this particular cartridge with a 115 grain full metal jacket: a lightweight bullet which picks up a supersonic velocity before parting with a 4” barrel, and which delivers relatively little recoil before proceeding along a flat trajectory. Unlike the case it is seated in, this round’s bullet will not attract a magnet.
Magtech plates their steel cases in zinc: a hard and shiny metal which wards off corrosion. Please note that this ammo’s noncorrosive-primed steel cases are not fit for handloading. Just leave them on the ground and never think about them again.
